Nilam
The Gayo forest at four in the afternoon.
Green, woody, cocoa
The story
Acehnese patchouli is famous as the world's finest, yet it usually hides in the base of someone else's perfume. Here it plays the lead: distilled from leaves dried for three days, then aged a year until its edge softens.
Pidie cocoa and Kerinci cinnamon make it warm and slightly sweet, like forest floor touched by the late sun.
When to wear it Evenings, the rainy season, wool jackets.
